The on-screen pairing of Kapuso stars Miguel Tanfelix and Bianca Umali have been dishing out “kilig” vibes ever since Filipino viewers have seen them on television. But there’s more to them than meets the eye. These two celebrities have considered each other as very special and there has always been a possibility that their partnership would turn into something real.
It has always been a guessing game when it comes to these two but the young actor finally took a leap of faith. As Bianca celebrated her 18th birthday surrounded by the people she loved, Miguel took the time to say a little something to her.
It turns out that in the week leading to Bianca’s debut, the Kapuso actor gave her a wonderful gift each day. For the last one though, Miguel took the microphone and did something remarkable. He shared how grateful he was to have met the woman he considered as “his person.” Although she used to ignore them when they met as kids, it didn’t erase the fact that he found her beautiful.
He was quoted in saying,
“Thankful ako kay Lord na binigyan niya ako ng isang kaibigan na tulad mo. Sobrang dami nating pinagdaanan, daming show na dumaan, dami nating natutunan sa isa’t-isa, and pag-down ako, andiyan ka para pasayahin ako, pag-down ka, alam mo namang lagi akong nandito para patawanin ka sa mga corny jokes ko. I’m confident to say that you’re my best friend, my person, and my soulmate.”
Miguel then confessed that he wanted to court her but like a proper gentleman, he asked Bianca’s grandmother, Lola Vicky, for permission first.
“Now, 18 years old ka na, finally pwede ko nang sabihin sa’yo ‘yung matagal ko nang gustong sabihin. Pero siyempre bago ako magpaalam sa’yo, kay Mama Vicky muna. ‘Mama Vicky, ngayong 18 na po si Bianca, hinihingi ko po sana ‘yung permiso mo. Pwede ko po bang i-express kung ano po ‘yung nararamdaman ko para sa magandang dalaga n’yo po.'”
